Feature Requests


Got a plugin or theme you’d like to see on your blog? We strive at Hadithuna to bring you some of the best and brightest plugins and themes available anywhere. While we’ve worked our hearts out to provide you with the best blogging platform on the net, sometimes you find a plugin or theme you wish you could have on your own blog. 

And that’s why Hadithuna is launching a feature request..uhmm…request :)

Every week we’ll put up a new post in the Hadithuna Forums where you can reply and post up a link to a theme or plugin you’d like to see installed on this site. While we can’t guarantee every theme or plugin will be compatible, our expert administrators will toll night and day to make sure we do our best.Where can you start your search  you ask? There are a few great resources on the web.

For starters the sites Weblogtoolscollection and Bloggingpro track the latest plugin and theme releases for Wordpress and are a hotbed of cool resources.If you’re just into theme browsing, you may want to check out the Wordpress Theme Viewer and the Wordpress Themes Section of Templatebrowser.com to get some ideas. Running a quick Google search will also lead you to some fantastic theme development and theme browsing sites.

Once you’ve found something worthy of your blog, then post a reply to this week’s Feature Requests section and our site developers will do the rest!

On the themes shouldn’t RSS be working? Recent Comments if it could automatically be on there too would be nice. I don’t like how you add one widget and everything erases and looks different

The RSS is always working, it’s built into every Hadithuna blog. Sometimes themes are hardcoded to the wrong url for the RSS feed for posts and comments. I’ve gone ahead and fixed that in your blog so both should be working fine now.

As far as everything erasing whenever you add a widget, that shouldn’t be happening. The widgets are supposed to be drag and drop, so you can move them around however and wherever you like.

Salaam,

Both themes have been installed Al-Hawwa. On the beach vacation theme you will need to disable the admin bar for the theme to work correctly.

(Actually, this is Anneesa, but i deleted my previous account for various reasons *sad*)

Before the shifting of hadithuna to another server, under the privacy option, you could privatise the blog so only selected registered users of hadithuna could view it. But after the shifting the option was gone.

Hmmm…that is most bizarre. I just logged in under your other username, and was able to navigate to the page without any problems.

Would you mind trying in a different browser? And clearing out your cache?

We’ve added the theme, you can now find it under the Presentation’s Tab.

And I don’t know why you’re the only one making requests :)

I cleared my cache, cookies, etc, change to another browser, clicking on the ‘privacy’ link still brings me back to the dashboard. It’s suppose to go straight to the privacy option, right?

Al-Hawwa, we will be upgrading Hadithuna to a new version shortly. If you still have the same problem after the upgrade we can address the issue then.

Salaam Badrul,

Unfortunately the plugin you linked to is only compatible up to Wordpress vershion 2.3.1, not up to version 2.5.

Since Hadithuna will shortly be upgrading insh’Allah (SWT) to the 2.5 branch of Wordpress, installing this plugin is not possible, as it will break with the next upgrade. If you find another plugin that is compatible past version 2.5, we will gladly install it for you.
